Set in Stone

Eli was pretty active last evening, I kept thinking in the back of my mind that maybe he was going to turn. I even dreamed about it, onlt to wake up and remind myself not to get my hopes up. Our little guy is still breech, but we have a for sure date now. Monday the 12th. We can handle that.

I could give you the details of Monday but then perhaps it would make reading his birth story repetative later. So I shall keep the details to myself. Definetly looking forward to Monday and the end of this off schedule, up and down lifestyle we have been living for the past 4 days.

  1. April 12! Yeah! I remember liking a boy when I was a kid who had that birthday. That also helped me memorize some dates in history--like the day the American Civil War began. Anyway, maybe that's not such good info, but I will be able to remember Eli's birthday well. =) You're such a tough girl, Ashley. We are so excited for you, and you're in our prayers!

  3. What a blessing to have a date on the calender to know when you'll have babe in arms :) I feel like the biggest blog stalker this week LOL. THANK YOU for updating regularly and keeping us in the know.

Have a wonderful weekend. Try to relax and just enjoy your time with the girls and Jed and know that Eli will be here lickety split :) (If you want/need to talk c-secs in the meanwhile don't hesitate to call. I have nothing but positive c-sec experiences to share)

  4. Hooray! What a blessing to have a date in mind to finish pregnancy. It's a marathon. I am sure it's relief, even if it doesn't end how you want it to. Just think of this way now you are prepared. I went in for a csection and had no clue what was going to happen or what to expect or anything. Just be positive and remember it's all worth it when Eli is in your arms. You'd do it all over again and again to have your sweet baby. Oh and you have the cutest new borns! Ruby and Emma were adorable as little babies! I am excited for you on so many levels! Glad you blog so I can be in the know on you! :)

  5. Our phone rang randomly at about 4:15 a.m. our time this morning and I thought for sure that baby Eli was here and you guys were calling to give us the happy news. Boo for randomly ringing phones with no one on the other end :P

I do have to say that after I fell back to sleep I dreamed of getting Jed's phone call letting me know the baby was born but it was a girl!!! I flipped out. For the record you named her Elizabeth Drake Romig (LOL... I guess the Elizabeth part is relatively logical... Eli = Elizabeth. Hmmm what a clever subconscious I have.)
